This year, ESPC is expanding its annual SHAPE WY citizen advocacy training to offer an additional training: SHAPE WY-Interim Edition. This is the very first training that will focus on the incredibly important interim meetings that take place across the state in between legislative sessions and how you can participate, whether remotely or in person.
Topics covered will include:
• Process- Legislative process, role of an interim committee, the life of a bill
• Messaging- Learn to effectively share your story
• Advocacy- How to testify at a committee meeting and how to make your voice heard from across the state if your can't attend in person
• Hands On- Attend the Corporations/Elections Committee meeting in Lander on Monday, September 18th, and have the opportunity to speak with lawmakers and testify at the meeting.

Sunday, you will be armed with the tools and insight to take part in shaping the decisions made in state and local governments, with particular emphasis placed on the interim period of the Wyoming State Legislature. Monday, you will have the opportunity to apply your new skills and testify on behalf of an election issue, or another issue that you find important, at the Corporations/Elections Committee Meeting in Lander. Don’t worry, we’ll prepare you for all of this!
